Biking does not get better than what is available in Tanzania. There are thousands of miles of single-track routes to explore. Most of these paths are nice and smooth and easy riding. Obviously there are more challenging routes for the adventurer. The mountain bike rides are designed to give you both a wildlife and cultural experience.
Biking at Usa River and Tengeru Villages
This is a short and easy 2-hours ride mainly on single-track trails through the farming villages on the outskirts of Arusha. Most of this ride is flat and the tracks moderate to good. You will encounter local Tanzanian farmers, kids and general farming communities. The ride is partly shaded.
Biking at Usa River, Tengeru village and Mount Meru (half day)
This 3-hour bike ride will take you through the farming villages of Usa River as well as Tengeru. You will also ride a bit up the lower slopes of Mount Meru, into the lush farms of these slopes. Most of the tracks are in moderate to good condition.

This full day ride will take you through the farming villages of Usa River as well as Tengeru. You will also ride a bit up the lower slopes of Mount Meru, into the lush farms of these slopes.This ride will be strenuous with steep up and down track following forest trails. Most of the tracks are in moderate to good condition.
Biking in Arusha National Park (full day)

You will enjoy a short game drive through the park en-route to Ngorodoto Crater from where you will start your ride. The ride mainly goes round the rim of the Crater with stunning views into the Crater. A ranger will accompany the ride since it is possible to encounter buffalo. Other animals likely to be seen are Colobus Monkeys, giraffes and various birds species. The ride is partly on a gravel track and partly on a small animals track that can allow for some muddy riding. There are steep up and steep down parts during this ride.

Full Day Mto Wa Mbu Village Cycling around Lake Manyara
Departing from the campsite /lodge we cycle around Mto wa Mbu village and the famous Lake Manyara National Park. We cycle close to the southern shores of Lake Manyara and will almost certainly spot some game here – zebra, giraffe and wildebeest.The Rift Valley wall is in sight all day as we cycle through a number of Maasai homesteads. Possible sightings of wildlife as we cross over the open plains. We have our packed lunch under an acacia tree during the heat of the day before cycling on and arriving into our lodge late afternoon
