About Amani Forest Camp

Bordering the stunning Amani Nature Reserve in the beautiful East Usambara Mountains in Tanzania, this simple yet comfortable eco-tented camp offers quality accommodation and access to some of the most breath-taking hiking and birding in Tanzania.

Here we focus on the essentials; comfortable accommodation, good food, and peace and tranquillity. Accommodation is available in a large twelve sleeper cottage and in large tents with palm-thatch roofs. The safari tents are cool and comfortable with double or single beds and are large enough to hold a family of four. Smaller tents are available for singles or couples.

For those with their own tents we have placed our sites with care. Each is private and individual, and have fine forest views. Please inquire for rates. We work as far as possible in an environmentally responsible way with solar power, recycling and composting toilets.

Inspired by a wide range of influences, our range of cuisine is refreshingly different. The dining banda, bar and terrace overlook the garden and offer views over the site to the forested hillsides beyond; the ideal location to relax with a cool drink and do some gentle bird watching.
